Eric Brown, 40, was arrested for his alleged role in the Feb. 7 incident on Tuesday in East Downtown, just hours after authorities offered a $5,000 reward for information on his whereabouts.

The suspect in a University of Houston sexual assault case has finally been caught and arrested, but he was already arrested and released for unrelated charges just hours after the assault happened.

Bond has been set at a total of $15 million for Eric Latroy Brown, the man accused of raping and robbing a University of Houston student in a parking garage.

Eric Brown is charged with aggravated sexual assault and aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon in connection with the Feb. 7 attack in a UH parking garage.

Law enforcement officials announced up to a $5,000 reward for anyone with information leading to the arrest of Eric Brown, the suspect in a violent sexual assault case at the University of Houston. A student reported to the police on February 7 that she was threatened with a knife and sexually assaulted at a parking garage at the UH campus.
