The popular X account for the “Sesame Street" character Elmo began posting controversial messages that were quickly deleted after going viral on Sunday.

The posts on Elmo’s account on Sunday called for the extermination of Jewish people, referred to United States President Donald Trump as a “puppet” of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and demanded the release of law enforcement files about Epstein, the accused sex trafficker who died in 2019.

Sesame Street shared a statement on Elmo's X condemning the anti-semitic and racist posts made by the hacked account over the weekend.

The X account for Elmo from “Sesame Street” spewed some unsavory comments after getting hacked on Sunday. The posts included a series of antisemitic and racist slurs as well as commentary about President Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein.

People posing as Elmo have a history of saying really bad stuff about Jews. Larry David may have been right to attack the puppet.
