The “ Buffy the Vampire Slayer ” reboot pilot at Hulu has found its new slayer — Ryan Kiera Armstrong. Armstrong has been cast in a lead role in the pilot opposite returning star Sarah Michelle Gellar. The pilot was originally announced at Hulu back in February.

Actor Ryan Kiera Armstrong has just been cast in the lead role alongside Sarah Michelle Gellar in the pilot for Hulu's reboot of the wildly popular late '90s television series Buffy The Vampire Slayer.

“In every generation, there is a chosen one” — so says the opening narration in early episodes of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. In this generation, and Hulu’s pilot for a Buffy reboot, that chosen one is Star Wars: Skeleton Crew actress Ryan Kiera Armstrong.
