LOS ANGELES — Baseball isn’t boring and the CW isn’t stupid, at least when it comes to the Savannah Bananas, the Georgia-based team that has rewritten the rules around the classic American pastime. The network has picked up rights to broadcast the July 27 Bananas game at Citizen’s Bank Park in Philadelphia.

The high energy online sensations will play at Bank of American Stadium on June 6-7. Both games between the Bananas and Party Animals are sold out.

Savannah Bananas, the exhibition baseball team dubbed the "greatest ... as the team typically sells out MLB stadiums. In fact, the team is so popular, it sold out an NFL stadium, Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, earlier this year.

Some 30,000 people are expected to pack the bleachers beginning Thursday for three fun-packed days with the Savannah Bananas’ Party Animals at LMCU Ballpark, home of the West Michigan Whitecaps.
