Every Mother’s Day weekend for 40+ years the residents of the historic district have staged a home tour. The weekend includes food, entertainment and horse-drawn carriage rides. In early December 2018 there also will be a lantern tour of homes decorated for the holidays. It is sponsored by the Aldredge House, listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
