Excellent guide and driver, with a mix of humour, information and sincerity. Due to this being a day trip the guide and driver guided us through the day with no rush.Full review by Maria R

A tour of the Gallipoli battlefields is a popular choice for Aussies and Kiwis, and it does not disappoint. The cemeteries are beautiful, tranquil, well-maintained places that are truly beautiful tes…Full review by Delene_and_John

We are looking at staying at The Gallipoli Houses 3 & 4th August. I was going to drive from Istanbul but as I have never driven on the other side of the road I have decided there has to be another option. What I need to know is:- 1. How to get from Istanbul to The Gallipoli Houses. 2. I have been quoted 320 euro for a half day tour, I have been told that it is a bit on the expensive side. All comments very much appreciated. ......Sandra

Hi there, self-drive is a perfectly feasible option. The brain soon adjusts to being on the other side of the road! The locals drive with determination, but not more so than Aussies in Sydney; Kiwis in Auckland; or Londoners. If you really want to go four hours in a bus/coach there are several companies that will do it for you, but the only one I can personally recommend is Crowded House in Eceabat. They were simply excellent; and although we drove ourselves to Eceabat I know that they will pick you up from Istanbul. As for the price you have been quoted, there may be a bit of Centenary inflation in that figure, we were charged that sum by Crowded House for an entire day, with the guide and his minibus all to ourselves last September. Good luck, it's so worth going.
Q:
Is the hotel pet friendly? We have a small Yorkshire Terrier who travels with us. She has her own bed & pram to sleep in.
A:
I saw a few cats inside the hotel, so it is not pet unfriendly. :) Also suggest to call them.
